The “design: driving innovation” special display highlights design and technical solutions for the living and working environments of tomorrow

The special design and technology display, design: driving innovation, took place for the second time, at this year’s CeBIT Show from March 3 to 8, 2009. The display showcased design solutions for the working and living environments of tomorrow, whereby the topic of “design” was not only concentrated on the aesthetic aspects. It also reflected such issues as energy efficiency, resource-friendly production processes and the utilization of innovative, environmentally compatible materials.

The special display organized also served as a dialog and lecture forum for exhibitors and visitors to the CeBIT Show. On each day of the show, experts delivered informative talks, provided additional information and host discussions on current topics focusing on design.

design: driving innovation is a project organized by iF in cooperation with the CeBIT 2009. Thomas Bade, the managing director of the universal design GmbH, and Petra Nordmeier from the iF International Forum Design GmbH were responsible for the project..
