“universal design award 2010” – Awarded for the third time

105 entries from ten countries from around the world were submitted in this year’s competition. Two juries awarded a total of 27 prizes: the jury of experts presented 11 entries with the “universal design award 2010”. The jury made up of users and consumers awarded the “universal design consumer favorite 2010” five times – 11 products were honored with both awards.

The annual universal design award honors outstanding products and services that reflect the principles and characteristics of universal design: products that show respect for the way we treat our dwindling global resources and that deal actively with the changing demography in industrialized societies. In its life and user quality, universal design aims to enable, if not even guarantee, as many people as possible, young as well as old, as self-determined a working and living environment as possible.
